The best transitional Coats for Autumn/Winter

Just because the colder months are coming in and we have to dress a little warmer doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice the style factor. I have chosen to share with you 5 of my favourite coats for this season and into winter.

A good leather jacket or faux leather is a staple in anybody’s wardrobe and this is why it should become an investment piece. The black leather jacket is timeless and rolls around season after season and can be worn all year round. My personal choice is my black Zara biker jacket I purchased this a few months back as my previous biker jacket had begun to look worn and tired. I tried this on in store and instantly fell in love. It’s form fitting to my shape and so flattering on, the material is moveable and un-restrictive meaning you can layer chunky knits or simple tees underneath. The perfect all rounder.

Another recent purchase is my black denim Borg jacket from Missguided the Borg detailing makes it ideal for the colder months, the touch of shearling makes it very winter ready. This is a great day time piece and great for keeping it casual. This one in particular runs true to size so if you want to be able to wear thicker knits underneath or you just generally prefer the oversized look I would size up.

The aviator jacket!! My favourite and by far the most winter appropriate jacket of the bunch. Not the Acne Studios number my heart so longed for but my bank balance has certainly thanked me!! Coming in at over £1000 cheaper this Missguided dupe has stolen my winter wardrobes heart and I never want to take it off. The thick faux fur lining makes this the cosiest jacket of the lot, perfect for throwing over the top of almost any outfit this keeps you looking chic and cosy all at once. The style of these coats are generally oversized so stick to your normal.

The camel coat, this style has rolled round year after year for the Autumn/winter months. It adds a touch of class and dresses up any outfit but can also be great for casual everyday wear.  I purchased mine last autumn from New Look and I still love it. For being a short gal it cuts me just at the right place and is so comfortable. Chuck this on over a pair of skinny jeans and a t-shirt with a pair of trainers and you’re good to go.

Last but not least, something a little more fun for the colder months. A baby pink faux fur bomber jacket, Missguided nailed it with this. I love pink and this jacket is super super cosy and casual looking. Another one great for everyday to chuck on with leggings and trainers. If you’re looking for soft and snuggly or the giant marshmallow look then this is for you!!

Go on treat yourself, you know you want to!!
